Art is part of the landscape here in Ithaca, so you're always on a scenic route!
Local Art - it's almost redundant in its implication that there might be art in Ithaca that isn't local. Well, maybe there are a few "larger museums" nearby, but you don't have to travel too far to find them. And there's lots of free, public art along the way. Watch for the multiple mini-murals on the city's downtown electrical boxes, as well as the colorful Get-Up-State graffiti murals splashed around the Cornell University Press Building on Ithaca's West End and Downtown Ithaca's Art in the Heart sculptures.
So much art, so little time... so linger a little longer in our local galleries, studios, museums, and artfully planned events with an overnight stay to take it all in - and take some of Ithaca's original art home with you to enjoy year-round, or maybe to give as a gift.
