The Carriage House is perched on the outskirts of the perpetually lively Collegetown, and provides a much needed calm to the dynamic environment. Inside the stone walls of the restored 1850’s carriage house (hence the name!), lofty ceilings and warm hardwood floors give the restaurant an airiness and homey feeling that are hard to find elsewhere.
The kitchen at the Carriage House is devoted to “food patriotism” – meaning they use as much locally sourced food as possible, and the food that they make with those ingredients is always an homage to those fresh flavors. This small restaurant is big on flavor, and with a menu that includes a brie-stuffed french toast on house-made brioche as well as a daily strata, the locals are glad that their award winning brunch is served 6 days a week.
