Triphammer Wines & Spirits will host the 9th annual “An Evening to Remember” event to benefit the Alzheimer's Association of Central New York on Tuesday, December 1st , 2015 from 5:30-9:00pm. The gala will be held at the Statler Hotel on Cornell campus, located at 130 Statler Drive, Ithaca NY. 100% of ticket and auction proceeds from this event will go directly to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY. The event will once again offer guests extensive food and wine tastings from local restaurants and wineries, as well as a beer garden with a variety of craft beers. There will also be both a live silent auction, and live music by local talent. In addition, the Statler Hotel will offer discounted room rates for gala attendees starting at $150/room/night. This fall, the Museum of the Earth’s temporary exhibit will give visitors a glimpse into the history, art, and science behind one of our nation’s greatest treasures. The Smithsonian permanently transferred several models and dioramas to the Museum of the Earth, including detailed dioramas, prehistoric plant sculptures, and an enormous dinosaur. Visitors will discover the history of each piece and the past life it depicts, what aspects are now considered scientifically inaccurate and why, and the artistic technique used to create each piece.
