The Ithaca Scottish Games & Celtic Festival is an all weekend, family festival centered on Bagpipe band, highland dance and Scottish heavy athletic competitions. There are also sheep-shearing, wool-spinning & kilt making demonstrations, Clan booths, Celtic foods & crafts, local historical walking tours of the Waterfront Trail hosted by the History Center in Tompkins County, non-stop activities for children including the annual clan scavenger hunt & a bouny house, Irish step-dancing, Gaelic lessons, a wellness tent, a 5K charity race along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail, a Rugby 7’s clinic, and historical re-enactors. We also schedule a full weekend line-up of musical entertainment drawing from the abundance of local talent including Traonach, The Grady girls, Irish Marty Brandon, Doolin O'Dey and more! Relax in our refreshment tent where you'll find brews on tap from Ithaca Beer Co., and wine from McGregor Winery.
