Saturday, September 22, 2012 - Three Gorges Hike
9:00 A.M, Buttermilk Falls State Park, Robert H. Treman State Park, Ithaca, NY
Join a park naturalist on an 8-mile hike through
three of the Finger Lakes' most beautiful gorges!
The hike will traverse Robert H. Treman’s Enfield Glen, Lick Brook Creek's
gorge, and Buttermilk
Falls' gorge. This hike
has both easy and strenuous sections, hiking experience is recommended. Bring a lunch, snacks and water, and lace up
your sturdy footwear! Meet at the lower Buttermilk Falls parking lot off Route 13, we will then
carpool to upper Robert H. Treman. To help plan for transportation between the

Cayuga Waterfront Trail - Open Year Round
The
Cayuga Waterfront Trail will be a six-mile, multi-use trail providing
an active, non-motorized transportation and recreation way connecting
Ithaca's most popular waterfront destinations. The Waterfront
Trail will help Ithaca develop a sustainable transportation system,
enhance our quality of life and contribute to the revitalization of our
community’s waterfront. It is our goal to build one of the best trails in upstate New York. Visit the Cayuga Waterfront Trail online to download a map.
Cayuga Nature Center Trails - Open Year Round
The Cayuga Nature Center cultivates awareness, appreciation and responsibility for the natural world through outdoor and environmental education. Visit the Cayuga Nature Center online to view their current programs or download a PDF of their trail map. The Nature Center overlooks Cayuge Lake on Route 89 in the Town of Ulysses, 15 minutes west of Downtown Ithaca. The grounds and trails are open to the public 365 days per year from down to dusk.
