Head to a farmers' market. Holiday shopping? Browse shops on the Downtown Ithaca Commons. It doesn't have to be a special Saturday for you to Shop Small. Prioritize small businesses, support local.

Trumansburg Thanksgiving Market

Join the Trumansburg Farmer’s Market for their first Thanksgiving Market! Prepare for a grocery shopping trip from the local farmers. Shop meats, produce, cheese, baked goods, holidays gifts and so much more. Don’t forget a bottle or two of local cider to pop at this holiday feast! What delights will you find in the whimsical village of Trumansburg?

Press Bay Thanksgiving Market

Join us downtown for the annual outdoor Thanksgiving Market! Located in Press Bay Alley, Press Bay Court, and this year, expanded to the parking lot on the corner of Green St and S Geneva St. You can find all the ingredients for this year’s feast. Order ahead to reserve a locally and ethically raised turkey or browse the stalls for sweet delights. Come with a plan or come with an open mind, you never know what you might find.

Thanksgiving Food

Hazelnut Kitchen

Want some help in the kitchen on Thanksgiving? Order your sides from Hazelnut Kitchen! Pick up the day before and simply heat the day of. Find gourmet but comforting versions of gravy, cranberry orange compote, roasted garlic parmesan mashed potatoes, and more! Put all your love into that turkey and let Hazelnut take on the rest.

Inn at Taughannock

Looking to sit back and relaxing for Thanksgiving dinner? Join the Inn at Taughannock for their annual Thanksgiving Dinner. A multi-course, pre-fixe menu that features inventive fall dishes in addition to the classic turkey dinner. You can even go back for seconds of your favorite dishes. Adults are $75 and children under 12 are half priced. Proper safety precautions will be practiced: 50% capacity, distanced tables, PPE, hand sanitizing stations, etc.

Hotel Ithaca

Join the Hotel Ithaca for their Thanksgiving meal! With 5 different courses, you can indulge for a reasonable price! Make a reservation for one of their four beginning times throughout the day. You can even take advantage of their special Thanksgiving Day room rates in the downtown hotel. Adults are $23.95 per person, kids 5-12 are $11.95 per person, and kids under 4 are free.
Plated dinner at 11:30AM, 1:30PM, 3:30PM, and 5:30PM. Reservations are required, call 607-272-1000.

Agava Restaurant

A special Thanksgiving to go offering from one of Ithaca's farm-to-table restaurants! You select traditional or vegetarian, available for pick-up 11/19 through 11/25. You can order single plates for pick-up, as well as family-style for groups of 4 or 8 people.

Coltivare

Closed Thanksgiving Day, 12/24 and 12/25 and Mondays; open Tuesday-Sunday for dinner as well as Sunday Brunch! In addition to their elevated, new American full dinner menu available in their spacious dining areas -- check out the curbside pick-up family-style menu to feed your group. Families will also be happy to see this restaurant offers ample space with comfortably wheelchair accessible parking, dining, and restrooms.

Whether you’re shopping for a holiday gift, looking to treat yourself, or just looking to window shop, head to one of our many locally focused areas. Browse the open-air pedestrian mall of the Downtown Ithaca Commons. Walk cozy Main Street in the Village of Trumansburg. Spend some time at the Ithaca Farmer’s Market, exploring the numerous artisan booths. You can find unique and quality items in Ithaca.

Downtown Visitor Center Open

The Downtown Visitor Center in the Tompkins Center for History & Culture will be open Saturday from 10am to 5pm (closed Thursday 11/26 and Friday 11/27). Stop in for Ithaca is Gorges merchandise or to say hello and ask our team for recommendations.

Giving Tuesday

Don’t forget that Giving Tuesday is an important bookend to the Thanksgiving week celebration. While we support local in our shopping, we must also think about our local charities. These are the organizations whose mission it is to help and better the very community to which we are connected -- groups and people who have worked tirelessly throughout this pandemic to bring support and care to people in need. As you budget for holiday shopping, be sure to budget for holiday giving.
