Located northeast of downtown, ITH provides a relaxing and convenient start to traveling, beginning with a short trip to the airport, plentiful nearby parking, free Wi-Fi, and short check-in lines. The airport has flights on American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and on United Airlines. With competitive fares, over 700 one-stop destinations, and direct flights to Charlotte, Detroit, and Washington Dulles, you can easily and economically reach your final destination by flying from Ithaca. 

By Bus

Ithaca bound from out of town: 
Our Bus (pick up/drop off in front of Starbucks/Hilton Garden Inn on E Seneca St), Greyhound (pick up/drop off on Green St), and Shortline/Coach USA (pick up/drop off Cornell North Campus and Green St) operate buses into Ithaca from a variety of cities, including daily service to/from NYC. The bus depot on W. State St is no longer in service.

Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, or as we like to call it TCAT, operates 37 routes serving the Cornell campus, Ithaca, and the surrounding communities. Exact change is required for the fare, or passes can be purchased in advance online. (607) 277-7433

By Car

The main routes into the city are New York highways 13, 79, 89, and 96. Interstate 86 intersects NY State Rt. 13 in Elmira, about 30 minutes southwest of Ithaca. Interstate 81 connects with NY State Rt. 79 half an hour from Ithaca at Whitney Point, and with NY State Rt. 13 about 35 minutes from Ithaca in Cortland.
 

Bike Rental

Ithaca Bike Rental offers a variety of bike styles to rent including adult, youth and tandem bikes, located at Stewart Park on the end of Cayuga Lake. Reservations must be made at least 2 hours in advance. www.ithacabikerental.com (607) 273-8364 x.157

Downtown Parking

There are four municipal parking structures: one on Cayuga Street to the south of the Commons; one at the corner of Tioga and Seneca Streets; and one on Dryden Road in Collegetown. The Green Street garage is now reopened!


The rate for all four garages is $1.00 per hour for billable hours. The three downtown garages are billable from 2:00 AM  - 11:00 PM on weekdays and are free during weekends (beginning at 11:00 PM Friday - 2:00 AM Monday). The Dryden Road garage in Collegetown is billable every day of the week. Additionally, metered street parking surrounds The Commons.
